First Doctor: William Hartnell (1963-1966)

Well it's 2013. A new year. But, you know what, there's something more special about this year. The 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, the longest running Sci-fi TV show. Plus a year has 12 months, which means a Doctor for every month (11) and I'll save December for my own doctor design.

So here's what I am going to do each month I will produce a drawing for that Doctor. Since January is the first month, William Hartnell should be first.
Here is the first Doctor and his Granddaughter Susan Foreman. The First Doctor was very different to what most expect, the fun, bonkers character with a love for Jelly Babies. He was orignally a bitter, crotchety Gentleman, who mellowed as the series progressed. This is certainly the most interesting series, because it is so different. I like the First Doctor serials, but be warned they can be slow.

What?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but this is just cruel. I love Flash Gordon (I think it's better than Star Wars), but still, did they get the right film?!
I don't want to see what they think of Godzilla.

Gerry Anderson (1929-2012)

I have just heard the news that Gerry Anderson sadly passed away today, at the age of 83.

For those of you that don't know, Gerry Anderson was the creator of shows like Thunderbirds, Stingray and Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. I used to love these shows as a kid (and adult). The effects in them were terrific.

Gerry Anderson's company, Supermarionation, also provided the explosions for several James Bond films.

When I was younger I used to watch my Dad's Captain Scarlet tapes all the time and I loved it! So much I made a homemade Captain Scarlet costume.

The shows were always fun and adventurous, which is pretty much what my work is about.

R.I.P Gerry Anderson

Hope you like the new Banner!

For the New Year I have decided to sort my blog out. I want this blog to be my central hub, keeping it pretty much the same. In the New Year I hope to branch out with other blogs, which will be online comics. That's what I would like anyway.

Dracula

I know what you are thinking. 'Dracula? Again?!' Well, yeah, but this time it's the cover. See I can be original.
