So seeing how film/animation is my thing I am going to make a horror film. However this is going to be different. It is going to be a portmanteau film (ooh- a big word!). A portmanteau film is movie which contains multiple stories, for example Dr Terror's House of Horrors, From Beyond the Grave and Creepshow. These are probably the most fun horror movies. They feel like one of those Halloween nights where everyone sits around the fire and each tells a ghost story, usually with the opening line:
I will be giving it a Twilight Zone style where I open the movie with a bizarre narration, and introduce each story.
I am deciding which opening narration to choose.
"You're walking down a road humming to yourself a familiar tune,
Distracted you sidestep into the unknown.
Your destination is anywhere
Your time of arrival,
THE WITCHING HOUR!"
or
"There is a time of day where anything is possible.
It haunts us as children and lingers as adults.
It is as documented as the unknown
And as tangible as nothing
It is the invisible clockface we call
THE WITCHING HOUR!"
Which do you think is better?
